Your HubSpot Login after the HubSpot Security Upgrade on 1/23/12
by Dave Maloney
Hubspot just announced that they will be updating their security/privacy settings starting on Monday, January 23, 2012, which will require HTTPS for all interaction within HubSpot's software. Don't worry, it's not a bad thing (like the all new and "improved" Keyword Grader), but if you've created and bookmarked a link to your HubSpot login, you may have to update it.
If you use a link to get to your HubSpot login and it no longer works, you'll just have to make a quick change to it: just add an "s" between the "http" and the ":" So if your old HubSpot login bookmark was "http://www.yourdomainname.com/login.aspx" it should now be "https://www.yourdomainname.com/login.aspx".
This won't affect any links to your site pages that you or your customers have bookmarked, or from referring sites; so you don't have to worry about that. All public-facing content (your website pages) will appear the same; the upgrades are being made to HubSpot's security and privacy where you access their software and marketing tools.
If you're on HubSpot's Professional or Enterprise plans and you are integrated with a CRM like Salesforce.com, this update won't affect you because you're already on HTTPS.
If you use the "Login" button at hubspot.com or https://login.hubspot.com/login you're all set too.
